Starting during my junior year at the University of Missouri, I began my time anchoring at KOMU 8 News. I first started as a morning Cut-In anchor between Today show segments. I later became a weeknight anchor, scheduled regularly once a week on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. During this time I learned the ropes of co-anchoring a full 30-minute newscast. Here is a look at some of my work as an anchor at Columbia, Missouri's NBC affiliate - KOMU 8 News.

I started at KY3 in May of 2020, eagerly transitioning to another community within the state of Missouri. During my time at KY3, I have covered a wide array of stories ranging from features to hard hitting breaking news. My coverage has included continuous coverage of a Joplin, Mo. shooting that left two officers and a suspect dead, the recovery of a one-year-old baby diagnosed with COVID-19, an explosion at a local propane plant, continuos coverage of a double homicide in a small Missouri town, among many others.

I started my time at KOMU as a Production Assistant. From this, I quickly learned the basics of television news. I later began working as a general assignment reporter. During this time I reported for morning shows as well as daily shifts. I also spent some time anchoring several newscasts. Towards the end of my time at KOMU, I learned how to produce a newscast.
